Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a photo shoot session?
Just simply send me an email or give me a ring. We will then arrange a pre shoot consultation meeting to discuss setting up a shoot.
What should I bring?
My recommendation is to bring at least three outfits, including tops, bottoms, shoes and accessories. It is a good idea to have a variety of clothes, so we can decide what you look best in. You also should bring a small make up kit (unless you requested a makeup service), it should contain a compact mirror, foundation, mascara, lipstick, eyeliner, hairspray and comb/brush.
What should I wear?
You should keep things neutral, solid colours with tones that complement your skin, hair and eyes. Anything what you would wear to an audition or professional interview will be fine. Remember the headshot is about yourself. Avoid stripes, bold patterns, logos and big jewellery, keep it simple and as neutral as possible.
What should I do with my hair and make up?
The easiest solution is to request hair and make up services. Otherwise, style your hair as you like and normally would do. Wear your make up as you do when you go out to dinner or a job interview, there is no need to put on any more than usual for the camera. Keep it simple, we always can make adjustments just before we shoot if needed.
How long does a shoot last?
The shoot takes about two hours. If you requested a hair and make up artist, it may be around an hour longer. Make sure you don’t have anything booked right after a photo shoot, so you don’t feel pressured and a session isn’t rushed.
How long does it take to get my photographs?
When a shoot is over it will take up to 5 days for the photographs to be uploaded to your gallery. It usually takes another 5-8 working days for prints to be delivered after you have chosen your favourites.
What does it mean my photo will be retouched?
The photo(s) you select will be digitally edited to remove all unwanted spots and stray hairs, make the colours pop and perfect your make up. All your features which make you unique will be left untouched.
I have never modelled before. Is it a problem?
Not at all. I am used to models being a little nervous on shoots. I will quickly help you relax so you can enjoy the experience of a photoshoot. I also will help you by giving as much direction as needed to make sure that the shoot is as stress-free as possible.
Can I bring someone with me to a photo shoot session?
Your comfort level is very important, please feel free to bring whomever you like. The more comfortable you feel the better you will look in the photographs.
